Who We Are
Soleffix has a unique meaning: sol is the Greek root word meaning “comfort”, and -effic means “to bring about.” Thus our name Soleffix, “to bring about comfort,” to our clients. The fix on the end of -effic is because that is what we do best! We want all of our clients to feel comfortable at home, at work, or on vacation at a property that we service. We take GREAT pride in our work, and look to deliver the best value to those who entrust us to help with whatever services they need that we provide.
To give you some background on who we are and what we do, we will start by introducing the owner: Rodney Hill Jr. or just call him Rod.
Rod graduated from Georgia Piedmont Technical College with a Diploma for Commercial Refrigeration, HVAC Technician Certificate and also receiving his Universal EPA License. After he completed school he went to work in Brooklyn, New York at his religions World Headquarters, where he furthered his skills, and learned new skills such as: carpet removal and carpet install, mold remediation, painting for commercial properties, light plumbing, light electrical, and a host of other services.
Once his assignment ended, he took those skills that he learned and applied them in his new career experiences, working for sometime as a property management maintenance technician, and later as a HVAC installer and Service Technician. Later, he became a Building Engineer working for several large big-box stores that you may frequent today. With a total of just over 11 years in the industry, and seeing the technology change, he feels the one thing that has stayed the same are people.
“Seeing the smile on someone’s face when the air condition turns back on, or the water heater is pushing out hot water, is a great feeling! I feel the quote that applies best to myself and everything that I do is ‘no one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.’ We all want that genuine person that, even if they can’t help our situation, they will at least listen to our situation. That is why I wanted to start my own service business, because while you do have some companies that say they care about their clients, they don’t show it, and I have worked for some of these companies. I want to show people we care, not just by telling them to use us because we care, no, use us because we want to SHOW you that we care.” - Rodney
